🇬🇧 Τhis hummus is a traditional family recipe passed down from many generations. Enjoy it with warm or crispy pita bread.
Chop the garlic. Pour all ingredients n a blender: garbanzo beans, tahini, chopped garlic, lemon juice and salt. Blend until creamy and well mixed. Preferably blend to the desire texture, not too “milky”.
Transfer the mixture to a medium serving bowl. Sprinkle with pepper and pour olive oil over the top. Garnish with cucumber, tomato, etc..
- 2 cans of 16oz Garbanzo (Chickpeas) – Use only half the liquid
- 2-3 cloves of garlic (add more to your taste)
- 2 lemons (5-6 tablespoons lemon juice)
- 4-6 tablespoons tahini
- 1/2 teaspoon salt to your taste
- Olive oil for garnish
