🇬🇧 Leonard Cohen and his Norwegian muse/partner Marianne Ihlen, lived in the mid-1960s on the Greek island Hydra, where they met.
The film sheds an in-depth look at the relationship between the late musician and his muse Marianne Ihlen. It is a Documentary/Music film, which was filmed mainly in Hydra, Greece and it is released on July 2019.

She was the inspiration of Cohen’s many songs, especially the “So Long Marianne,” where Cohen sings: I’m standing on a ledge and your fine spider web Is fastening my ankle to a stone.

Cohen loved Greece. He spend almost a decade in Hydra writing poems and novels. “Cohen continued to write poetry and fiction throughout much of the 1960s and preferred to live in quasi-reclusive circumstances after he bought a house on Hydra, a Greek island in the Saronic Gulf.” [Wikipedia]

🇬🇷 Ο Leonard Cohen και η Nορβηγή φιλενάδα / συνεργάτης του, Marianne Ihlen, έζησαν στα μέσα της δεκαετίας του 1960 στο ελληνικό νησί Ύδρα, όπου kai συναντήθηκαν.
Η ταινία ρίχνει μια σε βάθος ματιά στη σχέση μεταξύ του τελευταίου μουσικού και της φιλενάδας του Marianne Ihlen. Πρόκειται για μια ταινία ντοκιμαντέρ / μουσικής, η οποία γυρίστηκε κυρίως στην Ύδρα της Ελλάδας και κυκλοφόρησε τον Ιούλιο του 2019.

Ήταν η έμπνευση των πολλών τραγουδιών του Cohen, ειδικά του “So Long Marianne”, όπου ο Cohen τραγουδάει: Στέκομαι σε μια άκρη στο πεζούλι και ο λεπτός ιστός σου αγκαλιάζει γύρω τον αστράγαλο μου σε μια πέτρα.
Ο Cohen αγαπούσε την Ελλάδα. Πέρασε σχεδόν μια δεκαετία στην Ύδρα γράφοντας ποιήματα και μυθιστορήματα. “Συνέχισε να γράφει ποίηση και μυθοπλασία καθ’όλη τη διάρκεια της δεκαετίας του 1960 και προτιμούσε να ζει σε απομονωμένες συνθήκες αφού αγόρασε ένα σπίτι στην Ύδρα, ένα ελληνικό νησί στον Σαρωνικό κόλπο.” [Wikipedia]
